Lil Miss 1 Month Old!!

Yesterday Hannah turned 1 month old!! Part of this month has felt long and exhausting with a non-sleeping newborn, but at the same time it has also flown by so quickly. So hard to explain. Here are some cute pics of Lil Miss 1 Month Old!!

A Visit from the JMLS Ladies

When Hannah was about two weeks old we had a wonderful visit from some of my closest friends who I met in law school. They spoiled Hannah with love and kisses and clothes and toys of course :) We were especially lucky because Steph was in town from overseas, so it really was a special day for all of us! We can't wait to see you all soon! XOXO

Hannah's First Bath

Around midnight on Marc's birthday we were up (as usual) and decided to give Hannah her first bath in the bathroom sink. We had a game plan in place - Marc would hold her and I would soap her up and rinse her off. A couple of things were not expected: 1. Hannah is very slippery when wet. 2. Hannah peed on daddy as soon as she felt the warm water. (It was hilarious and a great birthday present). and 3. Hannah is really cute all wrapped up in her monkey towel.

First few weeks

First Photo Shoot

When Hannah was 6 days old we had a photographer come to the house to shoot some newborn pictures. We found This Little Piggy Photography through facebook and could not have had a better experience. Julie, the photographer, was so kind and patient with Hannah and we are thrilled with the pictures. Hope you enjoy!

First Few Days

Hannah's first few days were both wonderful and stressful. She had lots of visitors who were anxious to greet her and show her some loving, which is the wonderful part. The stressful part was that we had some issues with nursing and she developed jaundice. They ended up putting her on these crazy lights for 36 hours and you will see pics of her below. She is absolutely perfect now and the jaundice is completely gone, but it was a little bit scary for us first time parents. Below are some pictures of Hannah lit up, and then getting ready to leave the hospital. We were released on Thanksgiving Day and went to straight to my mother's home for some family and dinner. We are extremely grateful this year for the blessing of Hannah and are eternally thankful to have her in our life.

Hannah Catherine Fields

Our beautiful daughter, Hannah Catherine Fields, was born at 3:54pm on November 21, 2011. She weighed in at 7lbs, 4oz and was 20.5 inches long. The labor was about 13 hours and was a wonderful experience. We are overjoyed with excitement to finally meet Hannah!!

Baba Bon Bon

Just wanted to pay homage to the reason we took the picture of me preggers outside my house. Here is a picture of soon-to-be Grandma (Baba) Bonnie when she was pregnant with me. I love this picture and love this lady. My mom is my biggest inspiration to me and I hope that I can provide for my child all of the love and lessons I have been given from my own mother. Love you mom!!!

Baby Fields Coming Soon

So, Marc and I decided to start a blog about the beginning of the Fields'es'es...meaning the beginning of our new family together. Our first baby is due November 21st and we couldn't be more excited!! It's been a long and at times scary ride, with lots of joy along the way. We don't know the sex of the baby yet, but we are anxiously awaiting meeting him or her and showering the baby with love. Hopefully this blog will capture some fun exciting moments of our family together and provide updates to family and friends of what is going on with the Fields'es'es
